First home journey: Lina’s story
Being nervous or apprehensive about building your first home is completely understandable! It’s the biggest purchase you’ll make in your life and you’re achieving a major life milestone.
But that’s what we’re here for, to make your journey towards home ownership as easy as possible.
Like many first home builders, Lina was apprehensive about the process. “I was very apprehensive about starting this journey and needed some encouragement to start setting up meetings with builders,” she said.
“Homebuyers Centre stood out for me as an affordable choice that still ticked all the boxes for a first build”.
Like most people, building a home has always been a dream for Lina, she said the whole process was exciting to her.
“The idea of building something from scratch and being a part of the selection process to watching the build go up was definitely more appealing than buying established”.
Lina first met with her New Homes Consultant, in early 2020 to begin the process of making her first home happen. “I felt very seen and looked after with her continuous support and encouragement. No question was overlooked, and no request was too big,” she said.
“The team of people I dealt with throughout my journey were very accommodating, I had all my queries answered and updates were frequent,” she said.
Knowing everyone’s building journey is different, Lina knew no matter what happened, no two days would be the same.
“I know that everyone’s experience is different, but I can genuinely say that my overall experience building with Homebuyers was very pleasant and flew by. I now have this beautiful home to call my own”.
Now the proud owner of her first home and living in the gorgeous suburb of Brabham on the doorstep to the Swan Valley Wine Region. “This is my first build but will definitely not be my last. I am loving everything about this home and am very proud of myself for doing it on my own”.
When asked what her favourite part of her new home is, Lina couldn’t really put her finger on it.
“This is a difficult question as I genuinely love every aspect of my home. I do however, enjoy organising and just general order.
“So my walk in pantry is a favourite and was on my must have list when building. I also love the open plan living, dining and kitchen. The light that comes straight through from the front door and back windows makes it feel very homey,” she said.
Describing her building journey as a whole. Lina said the journey towards her own home was “an exciting and fulfilling time”.
