2. Saving for a deposit made easy
- Saving for a deposit can seem like a big task, but there are ways to make it easier for you
- The idea that you need 20% saved is not necessarily true. There are low deposit options, as well as Government schemes that could be relevant to you and help get you into a home sooner
- We have a program called My Home Plan where our partners at Resolve Finance help you save for your deposit. The program helps you track your spending, saving and debt which could help you get out of the rent cycle and into your own home. It’s like having a personal trainer for your finances
3. Government support you might not know existed
- You may be able to access Government support schemes such as the Federal Government’s First Home Guarantee, Family Guarantee and Regional Home Guarantee which mean you could only need a 2-5% deposit
- In WA, the State Government offers the First Home Owner Grant of $10,000 to eligible applicants
