Summer reading: sips and dips

As we all take some well deserved time off after another crazy year. What could be better than enjoying some of our beautiful natural surroundings and making the most of our gorgeous summer weather. There’s a lot that Perth has to offer, so while you have some free time on your hands this festive season, why not explore somewhere new!

We’ve asked around the office, and we’ve found some of our favourite spots to have a dip in the big blue and grab some yummy food and enjoy the sunshine right here in Perth.

The Amberton, Eglinton ?

Head up the freeway for one if the best beach front locations that you’ll find this side of the equator. Located in Stockland’s Amberton Beach estate in Eglinton, you’re not a stones throw away from the ocean, you’re on it. Take a seat on their terrace and enjoy the atmosphere, the amazing menu and you might even spot some dolphins while you’re there.

With an awesome adventure park just across the road, the big kids and the little kids will enjoy this spot this summer.

Eglinton 

Bib and Tucker, North Fremantle ?

If you’re not up for travelling too far from your home base, make sure to stop by Bib and Tucker. Not far from the all of the culture and action of Fremantle and you get to experience breath-taking views over Leighton beach whilst you recoup after an arvo by the ocean.

Leighton Beach is not the only superstar in this lien up. Bib and Tucker’s menu features super fresh seasonal produce from their Perth based suppliers. They’re all about good food, good atmosphere and good times.

Island Market, trigg ?

With its gorgeous interior, epic menu and a view that is to die for, this is one to check out this summer! Whether you’re stopping by or popping in after a dig in the big blue that is only steps away, we’re sure you’ll love it. You never know it might become your new local once you get a taste of their falafel pita – it’s one of a kind.

So grab some pals, head down to the beach and stop by for a cocktail or two and enjoy some of the best views Perth has to offer ? (we did rank number 6 in the world for liveability in 2021).

bar therapy ?

You may not be able too take a dip by this watering hole, but that’s not stopping it from being one of  our faves this summer. Situated on the Mandurah estuary, Bar Therapy really is a spot where you can hang out all day.

Their menu is filled with share bites and tapas style goodies, plus they’ve got a pretty epic cocktail menu that will have your taste buds tingling.

Under the sun, you’re more than likely to see a pod or two of dolphins just off the deck. With live music and even a dj here and there, Bar Therapy definitely knows how to celebrate our awesome summer weather.
