The FHOG is a $10,000 payment from the WA State Government for eligible first homebuyers.

To qualify for the First Home Owner Grant in Perth, WA, you will need to:
- Be over 18 years of age
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Start living in your home within 12 months of completion. Once you’ve moved in and started living in your home, you must live there as your principal place of residence for a continuous period of at least six months.
- Have never owned a residential property in Western Australia or anywhere else in Australia
- Have never received the Grant anywhere in Australia before
To be eligible for the First Home Owner Grant, the value of your house & land package must not exceed $750,000.
Sure is. If you’re a first homebuyer purchasing a home up to the value of $430,000 or vacant land up to the value of $300,000 in Western Australia, you won’t pay stamp duty.

If you are a permanent resident, you will be eligible for the $10,000 First Home Owner Grant.
You must apply for the Grant within 12 months of the completion date of your home. Your eligibility and when you should apply is determined by the type of transaction. If you have any questions at all about applying for the First Home Owners Grant, our friendly team can help.
No, only one Grant is payable per transaction. So if you and your partner want to build a house together, you’ll only receive $10,000 for the single purchase.
